The Production Supervisor will work with their employees to ensure that all objectives</p><p>are met, the Collective Agreement is respected and a positive workplace climate is maintained. The</p><p>Production Supervisor will also communicate with other departments and attend meetings as part of the</p><p>overall collaborative effort in goal attainment. In addition, the Production Supervisor manages quality by</p><p>ensuring compliance with HACCP/SQF; good manufacturing practices and ensures compliance with</p><p>Health and Safety policies and procedures.</p><p> </p><p>Major Responsibilities</p><p>1.Assign work with instruction objectives during start-up and throughout the shift;</p><p>2.Communicate expectations/operational objectives/standards to employees;</p><p>3. Follow-up on work assignments;</p><p>4.Quantify variances to manpower needs;</p><p>5.Communicate efficiency & quality results to employees;</p><p>6.Identify and solve problems with employees;</p><p>7.Implement method changes/conduct tasks analysis;</p><p>8.Provide feedback (positive & constructive) to employees;</p><p>9.Hold shift start meetings with employees;</p><p>10. Ask employees for availability for overtime;</p><p>11. Follow-up on company policies (discipline, Health & Safety, HACCP/SQF);</p><p>12. Ensure Collective Agreement is applied and respected;</p><p>13. Identify, plan, provide and follow up on employee training (new employees, cross-training, Health & Safety, HACCP/SQF, etc.);</p><p>14. Analyze and fill-out reports and documents;</p><p>15. Participate in scheduled meetings (Transition/Production/Planning/Special Projects, Performance Variance Control Review);</p><p>16. Enter invoicing data;</p><p>17. Collaborate with other supervisors (Production, Maintenance, and Shipping) to ensure fulfillment of manpower needs;</p><p>18. Have a constant presence on the floor;</p><p>19. Manage emergencies and solve problems in a timely manner;</p><p>20. Meet and communicate informally;</p><p>21. Participate in and adhere to all Health and Safety policies and regulations;</p><p>22.
