<p ><strong>Sr. Application Architect - GOAPRDJP00000694</strong></p> <p ><strong>7000 - 113 ST, Edmonton</strong></p> <p ><strong>Remote - must be available for onsite meetings when required.<br>(In the event of an on-site meeting, the GoA does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses)<br></strong></p> <p ><strong>Contract 6 months</strong></p><strong ><u>Enhanced Security Clearance will be required for this position (must get before start date)<br></u></strong> <p ><strong>Project Name:</strong><br><br>Infrastructure Capital Project Management solution; Video Visitation</p> <p >The overall role of the Application Architect is to guide the definition and management of the application architecture domain within the GoA Ministries ensuring that both functional and IMT strategic objectives are met. A key focus will be on implementation of the application architecture to produce measurable benefits.<br></p> <p ><strong>Must-Haves:</strong><br></p><ul><li>8 years of experience in developing and maintaining system design and Enterprise Architecture domains: Business, Application, Data, Technology, and security</li><li>6 years of Experience in leading solution architecture and introducing the overall technical vision for large-scale Enterprise projects with integrations between systems </li><li>8 years of Experience in planning, designing, implementing and supporting platform solutions in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta </li><li>6 years of Experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>6 years of Experience with enterprise architectures, and all associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, policies and processes </li><li>6 years of experience working as an application architect designing or maintaining solutions that use development stack and derivative technologies (<strong>Microsoft .Net, Java, Python</strong> etc.) with an organization equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta </li><li>6 years of Experience working as an application architect in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta </li></ul> <p ><strong>Nice-to-Have:</strong></p><ul><li>5 years orof Experience and technical knowledge of application programming design patterns</li><li>5 years of experience in contributing to or developing application architecture standards and guidelines</li><li>5 years of experience in implementing and supporting an application framework in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta </li><li>5 years of experience providing leadership, planning, estimating, and presentations of ideas and solutions </li><li>0.5 years of experience with cloud-native software development</li><li>1 year of experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. The Open Group Architecture Framework (<strong>TOGAF</strong>), <strong>Gartner </strong>or <strong>Zachman</strong>.)</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
